The Lord’s Prayer

Growing up, the only prayer I ever learned was the Lord’s Prayer. After years of study of religions, I’ve decided it is one of the most powerful, and one of my favorite prayers.

The Catholic version, which was also used in the Baptist church I went to at times with my Nana, goes as follows:

This was supposed to be how Jesus taught his followers to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.
